In a follow up to an earlier story about the demolition of the Clarion Resort, the 60 or so owners of the Clarion Resort have decided to sell the property for redevelopment.
Key to their decision was an approval by the Escambia County Board of Adjustments to rezone the property. The approval will allow construction of 50 units per acre at this Pensacola Beach location, paving the way for a new 20-story Pensacola Beach condo / hotel.
Clarion Resort property up for sale
Clarion Suites Resort's property, which recently was demolished, is for sale and soon could become a 200-unit hotel.The announcement happened after its owners association, Sunray Village, received a rezoning approval from the Escambia County Board of Adjustments to allow the construction of 50 units per acre at the Pensacola Beach property on Via de Luna. The previously permitted limit was 30 units per acre.
The property, which is in a final clearing stage, could become a 20-story hotel.
