Gulf Shore Getaway

In a follow up to recent stories (see below) about how the market is firming up for Dauphin Island real estate, today seems like a good time to have a look at the current state of construction on the various Dauphin Island condo developments.

Holiday Isle - Construction continues on the Holiday Isle. This is the 144 unit Dauphin Island condo development just to the east of the Dauphin Island Beach Club on the site of the old Holiday Inn. The development is completely sold out, and is slated to open in early 2007.

Royal Dauphine and Capri I and II - Development of Dauphin Island's newest condos, Royal Dauphine and the Capri I and II, is still on the drawing boards. Developers of the Royal Dauphine plan to build 311 Dauphin Island condo units. Construction of the Capri I awaits the sale of a remaining few units to vacation condo owner-investors. When a certain percentage of the development has been sold, construction financing will be approved and construction can begin.
