Gulf Shores' sand dunes will be receiving recycled Christmas trees as a restorative measure in the next few days and weeks.
Baldwin County residents plan to drop off their Christmas trees at several drop off locations around the area. The trees will be "planted" in the Gulf of Mexico where wave action will cause sand to accumulate on them, restoring the beaches along Gulf Shores.
A similar plan is at work on Dauphin Island. Keep Mobile Beautiful will be working with the Town of Dauphin Island to collect and recycle Mobile area residents' Christmas trees to restore the beaches of Dauphin Island.
Six bidders, live music, drinks and hors d'oeuvres... That's the recipe for successfully selling a condo at auction. Better not have too many drinks if you don't have the cool million in the bank to cover the check. Auctions have a way of separating you from your money.
